House & Garden Festival Wrap
Posted on June 29 2018
After a super week at House & Garden Festival, we felt like looking back at the companies and stands that really captured our attention. Every day, we would venture out to different areas of the hall, and revel in all the range of colours and products on offer. I had to make sure to leave my purse behind at the stall, or my van would have been significantly fuller on the way home !
So here are a list of the 5 that we think you should really check out -
First off, East London Parasol Company. We came across them about a year ago, and were so excited to see their name board go up, just a few stands over from ours. Their parasols are an opulent and dashing addition to any garden. Pop one up in your London garden and feel immediately transported to far away lands. And with an ethos similar to ours, of keeping talented artisans in work, we really feel they are the perfect company to start off this list.
As a long standing fan of the Firmdale hotels, Kit Kemp's stand was somewhere that I would pop by most days. The vibrant mix of colours and patterns are put together so sensationally. Her style is electric, carefree and you just can't help but smile and feel inspired. I am yet to have the pleasure of staying in one of her hotels, but it is very much on the bucket list.
Now that summer is in full flow, the perfect addition to both your day and evening outfit would be a clutch from Tea & Tequilla Trading. Their leather bags are detailed with intricate glass beads and sequins in a range of fun shapes from vibrant lobsters to cheeky flamingos. And for the vegans amongst you, they also offer a range of leather-look materials made from natural materials. As a coloured textile enthusiast, it is the option of the woven straps that I fell in love with. Offered in a range of dashing colours, you could swap them onto you Tea & Tequilla bag, or even use as your camera strap (which is my plan!)
And to finish off, we could not mention TiiPii Beds. These hanging hammocks are just such a delight. We crawled in to test them one day, and I can absolutely confirm that they are as fabulous as they look. Curl up by yourself with a book, or bring a glass of rosé and some friends in - either way, you will not want to come back out. If the weather is bad - just pop it up indoors! And an added bonus, they are so easy and light to pack up and bring on your travels with you.
